We’re excited to expand our services and now offer dedicated psychiatry care for adults and children. We are committed to supporting your mental wellness with personalized treatment plans designed to help you thrive. Whether you're facing challenges or simply looking to improve your mental health, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
Research consistently shows that women experience mental health challenges at higher rates than men. This is often due to a combination of factors, including societal pressures—such as unrealistic beauty standards or expectations of motherhood—and biological influences like hormonal fluctuations. We support women of all ages in managing mental health conditions, recognizing that concerns such as depression or relationship struggles rarely stem from a single cause. Instead, we take a holistic approach, considering the complex interplay of biology, life experiences, environment, and nutrition. Our goal is to collaborate with you to develop personalized solutions—both medical and lifestyle-based—that align with your values and fit seamlessly into your life.
Infertility and Pregnancy Loss
While parenthood is often a shared aspiration, women are uniquely conditioned to view motherhood as an essential role, making infertility a deeply personal and emotional experience. The stress of infertility, compounded by hormonal changes from treatments, can significantly impact mental health.
Pregnancy loss can be equally challenging, often carrying an unspoken stigma that discourages women from seeking support. Well-meaning loved ones may struggle to provide comfort, and partners may not experience grief in the same way. Additionally, the abrupt hormonal shifts following a miscarriage can intensify emotional distress. We provide a compassionate space for women to process the pain of infertility and pregnancy loss, communicate openly with their partners, and rebuild a sense of identity, no matter where their fertility journey leads.
Food and Eating Issues
Eating disorders are serious, multifaceted mental health conditions, with women accounting for approximately 75% of diagnoses. These conditions include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other specified eating disorders. We offer comprehensive care tailored to those struggling with disordered eating. Beyond clinical eating disorders, many women face challenges with weight management—whether it’s difficulty losing weight postpartum or struggles with obesity. For those without a history of eating disorders, we provide a sustainable, health-focused approach to weight management without restrictive diets or gimmicks.
Trauma and Abuse
Trauma is a common reality for many women, with statistics showing that one in four women has experienced sexual violence and one in three has encountered intimate partner abuse. These experiences can profoundly affect self-esteem, relationships, and overall well-being. Many women develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or adopt unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as substance use or social withdrawal.
We offer a supportive environment where you can process trauma at your own pace. You will never be pushed to discuss anything before you’re ready. Instead, we move carefully and intentionally, ensuring you feel safe as you work through your experiences and reclaim a sense of control over your life.
Prenatal and Postpartum Depression
Pregnancy brings profound physical and emotional changes. Weight gain, swelling, high blood pressure, and other symptoms can make women feel disconnected from their bodies. With these changes, it’s no surprise that many women experience depression during pregnancy or postpartum.
While hormonal shifts play a role, pregnancy-related mental health challenges often arise from a combination of factors, including lack of support, past trauma, financial stress, or health complications. Rather than attributing your experience solely to hormones, we take a comprehensive approach to identifying and addressing the root causes of your depression. Our goal is to help you regain a sense of well-being so you can embrace motherhood with confidence and find fulfillment in bonding with your baby.
Transitioning Into Motherhood
Becoming a mother is one of life’s most profound transitions. The responsibility of caring for a newborn can feel overwhelming, especially when societal norms place the bulk of childcare duties on women. Single mothers may face additional challenges, navigating this journey without a support system.
From breastfeeding struggles and sleep deprivation to returning to work and rediscovering your identity outside of parenthood, we help you navigate the ups and downs of early motherhood. With guidance and support, you can transition into this new chapter with clarity and confidence.
Navigating Relationship Issues
Relationships are central to well-being, offering connection and support. However, they can also be a source of significant stress. Infidelity, breakups, divorce, and conflict can leave even the strongest women feeling lost and overwhelmed.
Whether you’re working to strengthen a relationship, heal from betrayal, or move forward after a breakup, we provide a space for growth and healing. Even if your partner is unwilling to participate in therapy, we can help you gain clarity, build resilience, and develop the confidence to navigate your relationships—whether that means repairing them or moving on.

Opiate Addiction
Addiction is a serious and life-threatening issue, and we’re here to offer support. Treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique needs. The first step is accurately diagnosing the root cause of the addiction. Diagnostic tests are key to uncovering any underlying factors that may lead to self-medication. No one becomes addicted if they are happy, healthy, and whole. Addressing the root cause is essential for long-term recovery and relapse prevention. Additionally, certain medications can help reduce cravings, even if the underlying psychiatric condition varies.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior. Individuals with ADHD may also experience issues like low self-esteem, relationship struggles, and challenges in school or the workplace. While some people may continue to experience ADHD symptoms throughout their lives, with the right strategies, they can still thrive and succeed.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven approach for treating anxiety and depression. This therapy integrates behavioral exposure techniques with cognitive restructuring to help patients face avoidance behaviors, challenge negative thought patterns, and return to a healthier, more balanced life. CBT is especially effective for anxiety-related conditions like Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Specific Phobias. One key feature of CBT is empowering patients to actively engage in learning and practicing skills between sessions to enhance the therapy's effectiveness. For individuals with mood disorders, CBT focuses on building coping strategies to tackle tasks that may seem overwhelming due to depression.
We offer a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning for a variety of psychiatric concerns.
We are committed to an accurate diagnosis. We believe that before appropriate treatment is implemented (medication, psychotherapy, medical nutrition therapy), it is imperative to identify the extent and severity of your mental health conditions.
Diagnostic screening often plays a vital role in this process. This involves using a variety of standardized psychological and educational testing batteries. The screening process is conducted completely online, from the comfort of your own home. We use a secure, web-based platforms to administer the rating scales, online. We can also conduct the screenings in person.
The sudden loss of a loved one due to a heart attack, stroke, accident, suicide, or homicide can bring overwhelming challenges for those left behind. Grief from divorce, chronic illness, or a terminal diagnosis presents a different but equally profound emotional burden. Additionally, men, women, adults, and children all experience grief in unique ways. We are confident in guiding individuals through the grieving process, whether they are mourning a loved one or coping with their own terminal illness. Our therapeutic approach includes relaxation techniques, cognitive restructuring, stress management, goal setting, and the development of new coping and communication skills—both with loved ones and medical professionals. We also provide referrals to community support groups for additional resources. Every case is approached with individual care, considering the specific nature of the loss when creating a personalized treatment plan. If needed, we can also assess whether medication may be a helpful addition to therapy.
We are dedicated to educating and helping those suffering from all types of eating disorders. There are many different types of eating disorders. Eating disorders are generally defined as a persistent disturbance in eating behaviors that impairs health or psychosocial functioning. Eating disorder recovery is a journey, and therefore, we are dedicated to providing a holistic approach to treatment that addresses the physical, psychological, nutritional, and social aspects of eating disorders. We ultimately support you in achieving the life you want to live.
Individual psychotherapy is an approach in which encompasses you as a whole. Individuals receive assistance in addressing issues related to self, family, school and work. Patients who chose to participate in individual therapy work together with their provider to gain insight and increase coping skills in order to improve general mental health.
When creating your treatment plan, we may recommend neuropsychiatric medication as part of your care. If medication is prescribed, we’ll provide a clear overview of its potential benefits and common side effects. Our provider will guide you through the medication management process, ensuring you understand each step. Before starting any medication, we typically conduct diagnostic screening to gain a deeper understanding of your specific concerns. This allows us to tailor your treatment plan with the most appropriate medication management approach for your needs.
WE NOW OFFER GENESIGHT TESTING!
The GeneSight test analyzes clinically important genetic variations in your DNA. Results help determine how you will respond to certain medications commonly prescribed to treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder characterized by persistent, unwanted thoughts, images, or urges (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce the anxiety caused by these obsessions. Individuals with OCD often feel compelled to engage in these behaviors, not because they want to, but because they believe it is the only way to ease their distress. This cycle can significantly interfere with daily life and emotional well-being.
We utilize exposure and response prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. ERP involves gradually and safely exposing individuals to anxiety-provoking situations while refraining from engaging in compulsive behaviors. Over time, this process helps retrain the brain to no longer perceive these obsessions as threats, ultimately reducing both fear and the urge to perform compulsions. Treatment is tailored to each individual, ensuring that exposure exercises are manageable and effective. While ERP is highly effective, some individuals benefit most from a combination of ERP and medication. Research supports this integrated approach, and our provider is experienced in offering both therapy and medication management to help individuals achieve lasting relief from OCD
Mood disorders involve emotional shifts that can profoundly impact a person’s stability and well-being. When these mood changes become persistent or severe enough to interfere with daily life, a thorough evaluation is essential. We take a comprehensive approach to diagnosing mood disorders in individuals of all ages, beginning with an in-depth diagnostic interview to explore personal history and current symptoms. Our psychological screening process, combined with specialized testing, allows us to identify the specific mood disorder and any co-occurring conditions, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment.
Mood Disorders treatment includes, but not limited to:
Psychotherapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
Psychodynamic therapy
Medication management
More than half of adults experience sleep difficulties, with a significant portion struggling with chronic insomnia. While medications are often used, they are not the only solution. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as an effective, evidence-based approach to treating insomnia.
CBT helps individuals reduce or even eliminate the need for sleep medications while improving sleep quality and restoring a healthy sleep pattern. This therapy works by addressing the learned thoughts and behaviors that contribute to insomnia, helping individuals replace them with healthier sleep habits. Key techniques include restructuring sleep-related thoughts, adopting lifestyle changes that promote rest, and practicing relaxation strategies to improve overall sleep health.
Social Phobia, also known as Social Anxiety Disorder, is characterized by an intense and persistent fear of social or performance situations where an individual might be judged by others. People with social anxiety often feel uneasy in unfamiliar settings or around new people, worrying that their actions may be perceived as embarrassing, inappropriate, or inadequate. When faced with these situations, individuals experience significant emotional distress and physical symptoms of anxiety. This condition can interfere with social interactions, academic performance, and work responsibilities, impacting overall quality of life.
Treatment for social phobia focuses on identifying triggers, understanding how anxiety presents itself, and developing effective coping strategies. Therapeutic approaches may include individual, family, or group therapy, with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral techniques, relaxation strategies, and, when appropriate, medication to help manage symptoms.
Trauma occurs when an individual experiences an event or circumstance that feels life-threatening or physically or emotionally harmful. These experiences can overwhelm the brain’s ability to process and store information normally, leading to lasting emotional distress. Common sources of trauma include military combat, violence or abuse, serious accidents, life-threatening illnesses, natural disasters, and mass shootings.
While not everyone who experiences trauma develops post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), some individuals may struggle with persistent symptoms that interfere with daily life. PTSD is an anxiety disorder that arises after witnessing or experiencing a traumatic event, such as natural disasters, mass violence, military combat, first responder work, sexual trauma, or domestic abuse.
PTSD can be effectively managed through evidence-based treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication when necessary. CBT helps individuals recognize and address triggers that activate the “fight or flight” response. Techniques such as exposure therapy and systematic desensitization allow individuals to gradually and safely confront anxiety-provoking situations, reducing symptoms like irritability, flashbacks, and nightmares over time. Using the cognitive-behavioral techniques of flooding and systematic desensitization, the provider and patient can work together to safely reintroduce situations that have become too anxiety-provoking for the patient. With the right support and treatment, individuals with PTSD can regain a sense of control, restore their well-being, and return to their pre-trauma level of functioning. Healing is possible, and long-term success is within reach.
If you are an overwhelmed parent, many of whom have attempted to implement a variety of parenting techniques but have not found success. These failed attempts can lead to feelings of hopelessness and helplessness for these parents, which often exacerbate the problematic dynamics in the household. The key elements include consistency and remaining calm, both of which can be difficult during stressful parenting situations. It is important to take into consideration the age of the child, the presenting concerns, and the family dynamics in order to tailor a treatment plan. These may include education about special considerations for their child along with exploration and practicing of parenting techniques. Appointments with the child alone, the caregivers alone, and the family together are all integral parts of the treatment plan.
